Bob Dylan said it best: “The time’s they are a-changin’”

Summit County as a whole has been on the rise in local & national popularity for quite some time, but Silverthorne has really been taking leaps and bounds in development in recent years, and it’s all starting to come to fruition now! The transition from quaint mountain ski town to booming tourist attraction throughout the 90’s/early 2000’s, now moving into the 2nd decade of the 21st century, we’ve been here through it all, and it is an exciting time to witness the growth of this community. Let’s check out some of the new developments popping up...

Fish Hawk Landing in Silverthorne is among the freshest in the works, boasting contemporary mountain modern living within walking distance to downtown Silverthorne. These properties will have Gore Range views paired with spectacular layout and high end finishes.

Nearby, Live Summit Blue recently broke ground and is creating a new neighborhood experience along the Blue River with single-family residences and townhomes available, all within a short walk of the best community, recreational and retail amenities of downtown Silverthorne.

Also nestled along the Blue River, Apres Shore is another riverfront community that is in-the-works. Featuring 60 mountain modern residences with Riverfront or Mountain View options, these properties get to experience an on-site owner’s clubhouse. Expected completion is the 2022/2023 ski season.

Adding to the housing developments, Silverthorne also has some exciting new lodging options! The Pad is an affordable & high amenity boutique hotel/hostel with a variety of rooms to suit a wide range of budgets. Drawing inspiration from international travel, The Pad utilized shipping container in their construction to put a unique spin on their shared dorms, while also keeping the more lavish side of travel in mind with their mountain view balcony suites and full container rooms. On top of that, they’ve got some incredible community spaces around their in-house A-BAR, where locals and tourists alike can interact after a day in the mountains.

The 111-room Hotel Indigo is positioned in the heart of Silverthorne’s downtown development, and falls on the more traditional side of what you might expect from a lodging facility, while still keeping a modern flair in line with the growth of Silverthorne. This property boasts on-site ski-tuning & rental options, an in-house bar/restaurant, and lavish amenities to fully embrace a mountain getaway.

Last, but not least, The Bluebird Market Hall is Summit County’s first food hall, featuring 10 exciting culinary concepts and 3 retailers, with room for growth. Located within Fourth Street Crossing, the new heart of downtown Silverthorne, Bluebird Market looks to be a gathering place where mountain meets modern, encompassing either local and chef-owned concepts and no franchise or fast-food chains.

There are a lot of people that have an interest in being here full time or vacationing, and so Summit County continues to be a growing community.
